I am honoured to present Synaesthesia: The Poetry of Colour, my upcoming exhibition at the Llavaneres Museum, opening on 4 September following my selection as the winner of the 7th Painting and Sculpture Competition, organised by the museum itself. This new body of work stems from a question: what happens when we allow colour to be experienced as a direct link to emotion?

Following the line of Botonism, an intellectual framework that extends beyond the artwork itself, I explore the role of women by drawing an analogy between a button, a simple and humble object, and women, who have been regarded as simple and humble in most human societies.

In this collection, buttons dance freely within a magma of colour, where they are magnified and transformed into a symphonic and rhythmic movement. A single impulse runs through the works, connecting them as one composition, with each piece becoming a variation on a shared language.
